This past 10 days in mexico has been an absolutely amazing experience. Our group of Canadian’s + George Hradil from Delta Hydrofoils and KFA Designer Zach Backas provided a fun and very educational atmosphere.
We were able to spend nearly every day on the water while in Mexico. Our trip started with a solid 5 days of training leading up to 4 days of racing. La Ventana tossed out every condition under the sun from flat water and light wind to 25 knots of breeze and 2 meter waves.
I have found that competing in events like this is the most productive way to improve my foil skills. The Hydrofoil Pro Tour feels like an incubator for design and performance.
Being surrounded by some of the best riders in the world not only gives me new tips on gear settings but gives me the motivation to push forward and train harder than ever.
I feel like I have made improvements from last year at HFPT Mexico but can certainly see the whole fleet has improved as well.
Here are some shots from La Ventana. Follow the link for our full video edit.
